On July 18, 2025, in his London office, entrepreneur and international keynote speaker René Deceuninck reflected on a journey spanning 30 years—from a self-described smoker in 2012 to the founder of IPB Ltd., the Institute for Personal Development and Body Language. Deceuninck, now staking a future that blends online programming and face-to-face education, has reshaped how executives, celebrities, and individuals leverage nonverbal communication to succeed in business, entertainment, and relationships.
A Breakthrough in Nonverbal Insight
Deceuninck’s transformation began in 2012. Attending a high-profile health and wealth seminar, he boldly refrained from smoking to maintain credibility—only to be surprised when the speaker identified his habit from subtle physical cues. “I learned he could tell by physical signs,” Deceuninck recalls. The encounter not only spurred him to quit but vaulted him into a mentorship role under Robbins Research International, eventually granting backstage access to Tony Robbins himself.
For two years, he assisted with “Unleash the Power Within” previews worldwide. That early mentorship accompanied by intensive study of body language positioned him to found IPB Ltd., where he now shares the science-backed reality that 93% of communication is nonverbal and that 80% of professionals lack awareness of that dynamic.
His formula: “Never judge a person’s intentions or emotions based on a single cue. Body language is highly contextual,” he emphasises. “Look at clusters of gestures, baseline behavior, culture, environment.” These rules feed into his seminars and private coaching.
Scaling to Meet Global Demand
From his London base, Deceuninck reaches six continents, offering sessions in the U.K., U.S., Australia, Europe, and Asia. In partnership with Robbins Research International and collaborators such as Gary Vaynerchuk and Brian Tracy in the U.S., he’s also taught previews of Tony Robbins’s flagship events in countries from Thailand to Denmark to South Africa. His client roster spans national sports teams in Belgium, Canada-to-India education groups, and leading universities across Europe and India.
Citing a remarkable “100 × increase” in global engagement, Deceuninck has transitioned IPB Ltd. toward a predominantly digital-first model: 80% online programming and 20% in-person events. The digital infrastructure launched on July 1; by August 1, the company will host three daily live webinars—free to participants but rich in lead-generation potential.
A Data‑Driven Daily Regime
Central to his credibility is a disciplined regimen that mirrors the structure he promotes in clients’ lives. By 7 a.m., he meditates, works out, and strategizes on social media—for outreach and brand messaging. The day flows through webinars, meetings, and a midday nature walk to reset energy. Evenings include meetings, reading, planning, and a second meditation before lights out at 11 p.m.
The method isn’t theoretical. He developed the “777 breathing method”—seven seconds in, hold for seven, seven seconds out—to realign mindsets under stress. Small-step goals and celebrating micro‑wins drive daily momentum.
“I broke tasks into tiny steps…focus on what’s the one thing I can do now and celebrate small wins,” he explains, adding that health remains central: “True vitality, a sharp mind, and a strong body all start with what we feed ourselves… nature holds the power to heal.”
Debunking Success Myths
Deceuninck rejects the myth that success is linear. “Success often looks like a chaotic journey of trial and error, unexpected setbacks, and detours.” His failures, he says, accelerated learning and growth: “The more failures and mistakes, the faster I learned…growth and success were inevitable.”
His advice to entrepreneurs synthesizes oversight and agility: build a solid business plan, grow your network online—but don’t overprepare. Tweak along the journey. Anchor everything in your “Why,” because “80 % of all success comes from your ‘Why.’” He urges agency over economic inertia: “I don’t believe in the economic situation affecting me—I believe I affect the economic situation that I live in.”
Looking Ahead: Online Reach, In‑Person Impact—and Nonprofit Aspirations
IPB Ltd.’s pivot toward online programming reflects both opportunity and necessity. With over 90% of communication occurring beneath the surface, Deceuninck believes digital formats offer deeper-scale impact. Still, he reserves 20% of efforts for live seminars—“reinforcing real‑time connection,” he says.
Beyond business, he’s preparing to launch a foundation focused on global education and health literacy—fields that have long been connected to his gratitude for a childhood shaped by his parents’ emphasis on nutrition, respect, and the power of nature.
Closing Insight
As audiences increasingly crave remote growth opportunities, Deceuninck is poised to ride that wave—transmitting wisdom gleaned from Tony Robbins’s world, decades of experience, and a body-language methodology that serves as both a lens and a lever.
His trajectory—from spontaneous resistance in 2012 to a global personal-development brand, with a 100 × expansion—is proof that interpreting others begins with understanding yourself. The next chapter: digital-first scale supported by a vision for live, human‑centered impact, and a charitable engine that seeks to turn that understanding into education and health access for many.
