At 59, Cora Emilia Filipe radiates the kind of energy that can’t be taught. It glows through her smile, dances in her eyes, and comes to life the moment she steps in front of a lens. “I get to play with my energy,” she says. “And I see magic.”
Cora lives in Lake Placid, Florida, but was raised in Miami from the age of twelve. Her first encounter with the industry came at sixteen, when she nearly booked a national commercial for Hispanic Wella Balsam. “The industry was different back then. Too demanding. And I was too shy,” she admits. “I almost made it.”
Life swept her in a different direction. School, work, and family filled her days. “It was hectic,” she says. “Even though my children are grown up, I’m still a mamma bear.” Her own dreams were shelved, though never fully forgotten. It wasn’t until later, when confidence finally caught up to her ambition, that she decided to revisit that spark. “I felt the itch,” she says. “And I said, why not? I made it my bucket list.”
What followed was not a return, but a new beginning. “This time, I was ready,” Cora says. “I knew who I was, and I had something real to bring to the camera.” Her passion lies in print, commercial, and lifestyle modeling, along with acting. For her, each performance is a celebration of spirit. “I get to be expressive. I get to be me.”

One of her most important revelations has been the power of personal vibration. “The magnitude of having a high-vibration personality and being a kind human? It changes everything,” she says. It’s the kind of energy that opens doors, builds trust, and stays long after the audition ends.
To anyone who believes the myth that age closes the door to creativity, Cora is clear. “That’s the biggest myth in the industry.”
And her advice is as poetic as it is true. “Follow your inner compass. Follow your heart and soul. If it’s telling you to pursue a dream you never fulfilled, don’t wait. You should have started yesterday.”
Cora Emilia Filipe is living proof that dreams do not expire. They wait for the moment you’re bold enough to answer them.
