The Role:

We’re looking for a forward-thinking Digital Product Manager to own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our digital products—including our website, newsletter infrastructure, podcast hubs, mobile experience, and emerging content formats.

You’ll serve as the critical bridge between editorial, tech, design, and business. Your goal: optimize user experience, increase engagement, and create monetizable, scalable products that grow The Miami News into a category-defining media brand.

This is a high-impact role for a problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the product roadmap for all digital touchpoints (web, mobile, newsletter, podcast, interactive content)

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to turn audience insights and editorial needs into product features and UX improvements

  • Define and track KPIs for user engagement, retention, monetization, and performance

  • Lead the implementation and optimization of third-party tools (CMS, analytics, ad tech, email marketing, paywall systems, etc.)

  • Manage the prioritization and backlog for technical teams and external vendors

  • Conduct A/B tests and user research to inform data-driven product decisions

  • Oversee site architecture, SEO implementation, page speed, and accessibility improvements

  • Contribute to the strategic growth of subscription, membership, and e-commerce initiatives

  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging tech (AI, personalization, immersive media)


Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in digital product management (media, SaaS, or content platform experience a strong plus)

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and execute in an agile environment

  • Strong understanding of UX/UI best practices and customer-centered design

  • Experience with CMS platforms, analytics tools (Google Analytics, Hotjar), and workflow management tools (Jira, Trello, Asana)

  • Solid grasp of monetization models in digital publishing (ads, subscriptions, sponsorships, paywalls, affiliate)

  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Bonus: familiarity with headless CMS, WordPress, newsletter tech (ConvertKit, Beehiiv), or podcast platforms
